Respected organization, the Pew Center for Global Climate Change has stated what every company should realize by itself, that energy efficiency should be engaged immediately, before any potential legislation or EPA regulation forces action. The Center studied a number of firms who were all in agreement that major financial benefits can accrue, reputations can be enhanced and intracompany attitudes improved.
Look for examples of energy efficiency wherever you can find them, is the advice of the Pew Center. Cost savings were backed up by a significant reductions in carbon emission liabilities, so long as the company established clear goals, had a productive way of gathering the data in real-time and knew how to manage the consequent results.
Saving costs is a primary consideration in boardroom meetings and it is quite clear that energy is the largest cost that a business can deal with on a monthly basis. Low hanging fruit is represented by examples of energy efficiency and much easier to achieve than some other cost-saving measures, elsewhere.
Companies are opting to insulate ceilings, replace inefficient doors and windows, install motion detectors, upgrade lighting units and realize that such examples of energy efficiency can help to directly reduce power bills and consequent carbon emissions.
Maintenance costs can be significantly reduced if organizations ensure that they deal with examples of energy efficiency as they find them. Within the organization staff tend to look at the company’s new position positively, with a boost to morale. Furthermore, people outside of the company are positive, boosting the brand reputation.
Building stock is inherently inefficient and lasts for up to 50 years. As a consequence, retrofitting of appliances, assets and fixtures within should be a focus and incentives and rebates offered by state and federal governments researched.
Carbon regulation is coming whether companies accept the idea or not. We cannot continue to rely on fossil fuels and the carbon that they contribute to global warming. Climate change is accelerating and by a commitment to energy efficiency, the company can at least reduce the amount of carbon taxation it will face ahead.
There are plentiful examples of energy efficiency for each organization to consider. Fundamentally, the management team must generate and take action on real, accurate and timely information, so that their assets operate as they were intended and do not use energy wastefully.
Daniel Stouffer has a great deal of information about examples of energy efficiency and how a visit to www.verisae.com can be of use to you.
