Many people wonder if it makes sense to use a home built wind turbine to help reduce their monthly power bill. Well if you are one of these people you can stop wondering because, it makes a lot of sense. Those who are already using a wind turbine to produce their home power needs are saving a minimum of 60% on their bills.
Have you noticed all the windmills that have been popping up all over the country lately? This because with the advancement in technology made over the past decade has made windmills much more affordable than in past years.
If you have ever driven through Palm Springs, you would have noticed thousands of windmills littering the countryside. They have been using them for power for the last ten plus years. I would not doubt that, with these advancement, even more will go up.
So with the advancements in technology you can now downsize that same technology and employ it for your own home uses. There are companies that can build and install them for you which may get a little expensive or you could build and install one yourself as my neighbor has done.
After seeing my neighbor install a wind turbine on his roof, I spoke with him to see how hard it was. He told me it was very easy, and got the whole family involved so, it turn out to be a fun project for his whole family. He also told me it cost less than $300 with parts from the local hardware store, and took only a few days to build.
They have been using it for about five or six months now and I have been told that they are saving a minimum of 60% on their power bills and up to 80% when it is really windy. Since the cost of living keeps going up and my income does not I decided to look into building my own windmill and guess what, the neighbor was right it is possible and very feasible.
Using the wind to power a wind turbine for power makes sense, it saves you money and is good for the environment, everyone wins except the power companies so if you are interested in saving money as well as the environment, click here for several different ways to do both.
