As reason the growing prize of gasoline, recently I have become interested of an HHO Gas Source. For those not regular with the term, an HHO Gas generator is a thing which allegedly converts the hydrogen from water into fuel that can be burned-out by a vehicle–thus saving extremely on gasoline costs.
That’s why I looked for hours on-line to find out if an HHO Gas Generator would use. As you can likely think, at this point, I have not yet tried building my own HHO Gas Generator. Here’s how my on-line search went.
I went to my 1st site on the subject, which called it “How to build an HHO Gas Generator.” The main thrust of the site can be summed up in one sentence: “Find a guide online using Google.” I’m not kidding; this guy did a whole article that fundamentally recommended you look on-line for a guide. Nothing help there. My quest for a working HHO Gas Generator continued. The next lots of sites I found weren’t much better. Only people insisting that they work and please send “X” amount of their funds to find out how to do it.
My quest for a working HHO Gas Generator continued. Later i found several site much better, though only people insisting that they work and please send “X” quantity of their money to find out how to do it. I did finally find lots of videos on You Tube that showed how to build an HHO Gas Generator, and most made the technology appear more plausible. The projects even look like something I can probably do myself with little bother or money.
As I continued my look to determine if there is more truth or hype to the subject of the HHO gas generator, I found several sites of nothing but testimonials. First, apparently Mike Allen at the popular Mechanics website says his experiments show no noticeable difference in a car with an HHO Gas Generator and one without one. However, he acknowledged that he has a friend who is as technically-adept as himself who said he is “actually getting some consistent results-fuel-economy improvements to the tune of 10 to 12 percent on diesel trucks pulling trailers.”
Noticeably, Allen dismissed this as merely a placebo effect–in effect accusing him of imagining the results. I’m not so sure–especially given the large number of seemingly-honest people online, with no product to sell, who insist they’ve seen positive results. At this point, I’m on the verge of trying it myself. I have little to lose–but a much more fuel-efficient car (not to mention environmentally friendly car) to gain if my HHO Gas Generator does indeed work.

All contributors to HHO talk about physics laws; more energy is used to generate hho so no gain; do they also remeber their grade 11 chemistry; organic chemistry to be sure? gasoline is a hydrocarbon with over 500 different hydrocarbons having 3- 12 carbon atoms, some are saturated, alot more are unsaturated; what do they think happens when you add mono atomic hydrogen at high temperatures and pressure? the unsaturated hydrocarbons are ‘saturated’ by the free hydrogen, the extra oxygen ensures complete combustion, more energy is released very little exhaust (smoke) which is purely unburnt carbon! And you still want to know how this saves fuel? do your enthalpy and volumetric analyses!…
HHO “works” by increasing the flame temperature of the engine’s combustion, and the hotter combustion is more efficient. The only problem, and it’s a big one, is that it takes a lot of HHO to make a difference in efficiency, certainly more than is practical to make with an on-board electrolysis device. Save your money and time, leave HHO alone.
