With the renewable energy programs in Europe getting to good start, the West should follow the lead and get something positive for the environment. Solar power is more entrenched in European countries such as Spain and Germany, which have promoted its development with strong incentives called feed-in tariffs, which require electric utilities to buy solar power at a high, fixed price. These battery-based portable electric devices need to be recharged pretty often which hook us to the grid outlet and reduce our mobility and portability. Solar charger is simple to use on the go, where ever you are, all it takes is some sunlight. Or another way of looking at it is 1 kWh/m2. When installing solar street lights, there is no need for excavation to put cables, as power does not depend of the grid.

Renewable Energy Programs In Europe for Solar Powered Home is indeed getting its boost in the some of these European countries and hopefully this will translate into the West getting into the act too.

Get Your 7-Day Free Course

The drawback to solar power is that it is expensive to produce: generating power from photovoltaic panels costs more than four times as much as coal, and more than twice what wind power costs. Read More. Solar energy’s potential is off the chart. This is one area where it pays to be creative. It is also compatible with cell phones and other portable electronic devices.

Get Your 7 Day Energy Saving eCourse

The usage of the power will need to be taken into consideration to work out the size and number of the solar panels that you need to install. This could make a simple job quite a large project. The system does not produce electricity at night or when it is overcast. This holds the electric power until called upon for use. To convert the country to solar power, huge tracts of land would have to be covered with photovoltaic panels and solar heating troughs. The storage system is usually created from batteries, not unlike those used in vehicles.

Lack of knowledge in this area, combined with cost, has hindered the widespread take-up of the technology. It uses smaller land areas than other power plants. Commercial solar power systems isn’t just good for the environment, it can even save peoples lives! Hundreds of people die due to power failures during extreme weather. These systems can be used to power notebook computers they can charge any equipment even when it’s cloudy.

Through research and development, as well as, new technologies, the hope is many of the disadvantages of renewable sources of energy can be eliminated and we can successfully incorporate it into our power supplies. It does, however, have high costs.

There are so many advantages of renewable energy. It is also important for a number of reasons and this mainly brought about by the fact that it is not harmful to the environment and to our one and only Earth. Unlike fossil fuel and coal, it is harmful for the environment and it can lead to so many unwanted changes in the environment. You can obtain renewable energy from water, solar, and wind. Any of this can provide renewable energy and all you need to do is harness it.

Renewable energy is important for many reasons. Mainly because renewable forms of energy are not harmful to the environment. They are typically safe for the earth, making them much cleaner than coal or oil. Also, renewable energy sources will not become scarce or be in danger of exhausted supply as many believe will happen with fossil fuels.

After the scare at Chernobyl concerning nuclear energy, it seems that research for alternative sources of energy was curtailed for many years. However, because of increasing cost of fossil fuels, and diminishing resources, there has been increasing research for new alternatives.

There are many different types of renewable energy, including solar, wind, and water. A decided plus is that there is nothing produced by these sources of energy that could harm the environment.

Solar energy refers to power from the sun. I often think about the old Aesop Fable where the wind and sun debated about which was more powerful. They decided to do an experiment to see which of them could force a traveler to remove his coat the quickest. The wind blew furiously, but the harder it blew the tighter the man held onto his coat. Then it was the sun’s turn and it shone brightly for just a short time before the man decided to remove his coat. So they agreed that the sun was more powerful. That is a humorous story, because it really didn’t prove anything about which was more powerful. Both are very powerful and useful forms of energy. And both have been proven to be great for heating homes and providing electrical energy.

Many industries in our country used windmills and water power from farming and flour mills to the lumber industry. With the discovery of electricity those methods were largely abandoned in our country, but they are still used in many countries today.

We are again realizing that these forms of energy are worth developing. Commercially, systems are being promoted for the homeowner, but many are priced out of reach for the ordinary citizen. The good news is that it is now possible to generate your own electrical power or heating system and to build the generator yourself. In my neighborhood there are increasing numbers of solar panels on rooftops.

You may want to investigate these alternative methods for your own use not only to save the environment, but to reduce your cost of living in these uncertain times.

You may be surprised at how easily and affordably you can create your own Home Made Energy…

In today’s fast changing environment and climate change, it’s imperative that people should be aware of the consequences of this bad and damaging energy sources and has to be minimized in order for both parties- the consumer and the producers of this energy to have little effect on the bottom line. and with renewable energy such wind, solar and water sources for energy, this is a great advantage for Mother Earth and for it’s inhabitants.
